A Rainy, Wet Playoff Opener

Tonight, the Section III Playoffs began on what turned out to be one of the messiest nights all season. From some of our teams out in Syracuse to some great matches right here in the Utica area, the night turned out to be spectacular.

Out in Frankfort, the Maroon Knights overtook the Jugglers 14-6.

At Chiz Frye Field in Whitesboro, Mexico fell to the Warriors, 22-0.

Over at Mt. Markham, the Mustangs beat Cato-Meridian, 35-13.

There were also many other great games and the scores can be found here.

After seeing everything the victorious teams have to offer, give us some of your predictions for who can over take their brackets and go all the way.

under Mt Markhams win over Cato you mention that Markham will play next Friday at Sauqoit's new field. How do you know this for sure when sites have not been determined yet?

Mohawk defeated Ilion 13-6 on Friday night in a non-league crossover football game. 1st time Mohawk has played Ilion since the early nineties...Great Job Mohawk.

Mt. Markham will be playing against Thousand Islands at Sauquoit this Friday. They were the higher seed and that determines where the neutral site will be at.

GO MUSTANGS!
